Thank you so much for the time and effort to share your journey with this. It has been incredibly limiting for me. I am literally scared of being outside when it is over 75 degrees. And spend a lot of time sitting when I used to be very active but between the heat and humidity and bright sun, also a trigger I spend lots of glycine on my computer or watching TV.
Hi Lois, I’m sorry to hear that you share a similar story. Heat is a huge trigger for many of us, which is hard with summer temps picking up.
I can totally relate to feeling scared to go out when you are experiencing symptoms 😢 In part 4 of this series I talk about a “flare-up first aid kit” which is kind of like your own personalized chronic condition kit of go-to’s to help when flares come on. I know this isn’t going to solve everything, but it sounds like it could be helpful for you to keep some items on hand or in your car, purse, etc. Think things like a portable fan, instant cold packs, water, electrolytes, or anything you’ve found to be helpful in your journey.
Beautifully and cogently laid out, as usual. Thank you!
Thanks Amy! It is a good feeling to wrap up such a lengthy and detailed series. Up next are some lighter articles with actionable items :)
Looking forward to it!

Sending you love (and spoons 🥄)!
Time not glycine. Although perhaps a good supplement for this.
